AND WE ARE BACK AT IT AGAIN FOLKS. Did you read that with a game show voice? Because that’s what I had in mind. Okay, never mind. But seriously, we are back with another post of my current Netflix favorites *insert sound of people cheering* 👏🏽. If you would like to check out the previous ones click HERE or HERE or HERE. You’re welcome. I should really be posting these more often, I know, but.. yeah.. then life happens. 🤷🏽♀️
I Am Not Okay With This
I’ve read the things they’ve said about this show. How it’s a mix of some other shows on Netflix. Like Stranger Things and The End of the F*cking World and that isn’t so weird because they have the same producer. But to be honest, I haven’t watched those other shows so I couldn’t tell you if they were right anyway. So, what do I think about this show? I fucking loved it. It was entertaining, funny, dark and seriously, what’s not to like about a dark teen series? Right? I really, really don’t want to spoil anything, so I won’t tell you what this show is about. But I’m sure the trailer will do that anyway. So watch the trailer and then watch the show. Pretty please?
Gentefied
I love Spanish shows. I really do. And why do I love Spanish shows? Because it’s an excuse to annoy my boyfriend with the little Spanish phrases I learn from these shows. And not the friendly ones, no, because that would be no fun. I mean phrases like “Orale pendejo” and “Pinche cabrón”. Oh, isn’t Spanish the most beautiful language? I know right. But seriously even if you don’t necessarily love Spanish shows, I would recommend this show. It shows the real struggles that some people go through which you may not even think about.
All The Bright Places
Where do I begin? I cried at the end of this movie. And to be honest, it might not even have been for the ending itself, but the way it made me feel. I won’t go into too many details, but let’s just say it struck a chord. Grief is a weird thing. It can seriously make you wonder why people are moving on as if nothing happened. Because your world just fell apart. This movie brings together two very difficult issues and makes them seem somewhat beautiful.
Love Is Blind
This show is crazy. Dating, marriage and moving in together all within a couple of weeks? Yes. This social experiment was set up to prove that love is blind. Because why judge someone based on appearance when you can judge them based on personality? So much fun. I was counting down the days till Thursday (new episodes) and I’m jealous of the people that got to binge watch it. The reunion wasn’t that special, but the episodes leading up to the actual weddings are so entertaining. And I have to admit that I have a favorite couple and they’re probably everyone’s favorite couple. And yes, I follow them on Instagram AND Youtube. Yes, I’m that person. Don’t judge me. 😌
Kakegurui (Compulsive Gambler)
Yes, yes, yes. This one is especially for my anime lovers out there. I will try to review more anime shows, not just on Netflix, but first, let me catch up on the viewing list I have. But this show is absolutely amazing. I don’t even know how to explain it and the trailer doesn’t do it justice. Just watch one episode and I promise you, you’ll want to watch both seasons. Yes, there are two seasons! 😱🙌🏽
