Would you believe me if I told you I watched the entire season of What If in one day? I’m sure you would. Don’t judge me though. This show grabbed my attention and didn’t let go until the last episode. It’s mysterious, evil and very well thought out. And the big twist didn’t hurt either. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I watched the trailer, but I was seriously surprised. The series has some good reviews and some bad, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions, right?
The series starts off as an advanced version of Shark Tank where Lisa Ruiz Donovan (Jane Levy) is looking for investors for her company Emigen. She started this company after her little sister died of cancer. After getting multiple rejections she finally finds someone who is interested in her company. This is where Anne Montgomery (Renee Zellweger) comes into play. Anne Montgomery is a mysterious venture capitalist who seems very interested in investing in Emigen. However, she has one condition. A night alone with Lisa’s husband Sean (Blake Jenner). How far is Lisa willing to go in order to get her company to the next level?
The series tackles a different morality story every episode and shows how these characters handle them.
